Office chairs or exercise balls

There has recently been a new tendency to use exercise balls instead of traditional office chairs. If you tend to spend a lot of time in front of the computer, you might have considered buying an exercise ball. Is it a good idea? Well, the answer is yes and no. It"s simply difficult to give a definite answer just like that. What are some advantages of using an exercise ball? Well, it helps you keep your body straight. There"s no back and no side arms, and you have to balance your body all the time not to fall down. It"s also good to listen to music and move your body to the sides. As you can see, sitting on an exercise ball makes your muscles work all the time. But is it really such a perfect solution? When sitting for eight hours a day, sometimes even more, constant tension of lower back muscles can actually cause stress disorders. Office chairs will help you minimize the effects. Their ergonomic design will help you stay as relaxed as possible. But remember that sitting is unhealthy in general, no matter what you"re using as a chair. To stay healthy, stand up every half an hour or so. Whenever you have to call or email a colleague from upstairs, visit them in person instead. It doesn"t take much time and your body will have a chance to change position for at least a couple of minutes.
